The second prize was won with a ticket sold by Doyle Motors in Guernsey, with the garage’s customers urged to check their tickets yesterday as the money was still unclaimed.
Someone must have double-checked the syndicate’s tickets because it was confirmed this afternoon that the group of seven people had claimed their £50,000 prize earlier today.
If it is split equally each person will take home £7142.85.
The winning numbers in the 2024 Channel Islands Christmas Lottery were announced before Christmas but both the first and second prizes weren’t claimed until the new year.
The first prize of £483,795 was only claimed last Friday, 3 January. That ticket was bought in Jersey and the prize was claimed by an individual who wished to stay anonymous.
All winning numbers can be checked here.
