A commemorative photo book celebrating Guernsey’s 80th Liberation Day in 2025 is now available for the public to purchase.

The book, put together by the States of Guernsey, features powerful images from the celebrations, including the military parade, cavalcade, the visit of HRH The Princess Royal, and festivities in St Peter Port and Saint Pierre du Bois.

It includes photographs from Paul Chambers, John Fitzgerald, Chris George, and student photographers Lillie-May Hawkins, Floyd Johns, and Tara Linton.

Helen Glencross, the Head of Heritage Services, said the book was created with the aim of capturing the spirit, emotion, and community pride of the day, serving as a lasting keepsake for residents and visitors.

“Liberation Day 2025 was a truly unforgettable occasion, captured in so many incredible photographs that reflect the unity and pride of our community. This book is our way of honouring that day and ensuring we can continue to celebrate and remember our shared history.”

You can purchase the book at the Visitor Information Centre in Market Square, Castle Cornet, and Guernsey Museum at Candie Gardens.

All profits from sales will go directly to the Liberation Day fund to support future anniversary events.
