It has produced a step-by-step practical guide explaining how to set up in the island, from residency and housing to regulation and banking considerations.
“10 simple steps” are laid out with key facts and links to websites and documents to assist the business lifecycle from set up to promoting and reporting.
A survey has also been released for the existing community to gauge the appetite for new business ventures that are demanded to benefit the island’s economy.
Chamber said it wants any new venture to complement rather than compete with “existing business operations”.
Chamber President Andrew Eggleston said: “We want to secure a healthy and sustainable economy by encouraging new business ventures. Setting up a business in a different jurisdiction can be quite a challenge and we hope this guide will simplify and clarify the process.
“We are working closely with the States of Alderney’s recently formed Economic Development Committee to actively encourage and support new business ventures here in Alderney and will assist with practical advice whenever possible.”
Results from the survey will be published and shared with the Committee.
