The issue has since been resolved, with the problem being a malfunction with the EPOS card machines.

“We have received reports of some customers seeing transactions appear in their bank statements several months after buying products on Aurigny flights. We apologise for any inconvenience and concern this may have caused,” said a spokesperson for Aurigny.

“For several months, there were delays with onboard EPOS card machines processing transaction data, and some passengers who had made onboard purchases were not charged immediately.

“However, all customers have now been charged correctly, and we have taken immediate steps to prevent the issue from happening again.”

Aurigny said it understands how important it is for passengers to have a seamless and stress-free experience.

“We are committed to ensuring that all onboard sales EPOS machines are now being checked weekly to ensure that all transactions are cleared through our banking system promptly.”
