As part of his training and to raise awareness of the challenge, Mr Glass will have Boaty McBikeFace on display at this weekend’s Seafront Sunday which has been organised by the GSPCA with an animal welfare theme.

Mr Glass completed his Guernsey to Herm challenge in 40 minutes last summer, using Boaty McBikeFace to pedal power his way across the Russell. The longer challenge of cycling from Guernsey to Sark will take place on Friday 13 July.
Any money raised through the event will go towards the 2018 FCG Tour de Sez which is the latest in a series of endurance cycling events. It is scheduled to take place in September this year, with a 100-strong team of 85 riders and 15 support staff riding from Guernsey to Amsterdam.
All of the money raised through that event will go to the Sarah Groves Foundation which was set up by the family and friends of Sarah Groves, the Guernseywoman who was murdered in Kashmir in 2013. The trial of the man accused of killing her continues.
