PAYG journeys will go up from 55p to 60p while the cost of a monthly unlimited individual pass will rise from £20 to £22. Short term one and two day passes will also increase by up to £2.
The changes will see the introduction of a new £5 Around Island Fare for passengers using Routes 91 and 92 to travel around the island. This fare will apply for any journey beginning and ending in St Peter Port, while those using the bus for shorter trips will pay the standard £1 cash charge.

The higher fare will work in conjunction with the relocation of Routes 91 and 92 to Stand H at the bottom of the Town Terminus and the operation of an enhanced ‘Island Tour’ service run by Island Coachways from the Picquet House, to relieve pressure on the scheduled bus service on cruise ship days.
The existing cash fare of £1 and the ‘Nightowl’ fare of £2.50 remain unchanged.
Concessions still apply for Guernsey, Herm and Alderney residents aged 65 or over on Routes 91 and 92.
The committee is planning to introduce contactless technology on the buses later in the summer, with fares remaining the same as the equivalent cash fare for the journey.
