The local note, along with other faulty ones from Guernsey’s treasury, the Bank of England, and further afield are going under the hammer at Dix Noonan Webb of London on June 24.
Each of the Guernsey notes is priced at more than £100 each, with other notes including English £1, £10 and £10 notes and shilling notes among the collections up for sale.
Some of the errors include part of the Queen’s portrait being faded, serial numbers missing, and in the case of the Guernsey note pictured above, the States Treasurer hadn’t signed it.
The most expensive note listed for sale on 24 June is a Guernsey one, with a guide price of £500-700. It is an uncirculated £10.
All of the Guernsey notes are listed as The Yves Cataroche Collection.
Similar collections of Channel Islands notes have been sold earlier this year, and previously, netting tens of thousands of pounds.
