CareWatch was launched in 2017 as part of the then Committee for Health & Social Care’s ‘Partnership of Purpose’.
The Partnership was a 10-year plan led by then Committee President Deputy Heidi Soulsby. It promoted CareWatch as a “voice in decision making about health and care services, commissioning and governance”.
It is now seeking volunteer members and a dedicated secretary. It said in a media statement:
“CareWatch is seeking dedicated individuals passionate about contributing to the improvement of health and social care services in the Bailiwick. Ideal candidates should represent a diverse cross-section of the community, possess good character, and be committed to making unbiased observations and recommendations.
“The secretary role within CareWatch primarily involves minute-taking responsibilities, supporting the administrative needs of the forum. The panel secretary will also be a member, and admin support is already provided but the opportunity to take on the vital task of documenting discussions and actions remains open.
“No previous experience is required, but we ask that applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in health or social care matters.”
