Guernsey Chest and Heart LBG is the first charity referral partner for Bailiwick Social Prescribing.

The collaboration aims to connect people with non-medical community resources to improve their overall health and wellbeing.

It means the charity’s nurses can now refer clients directly to BSP’s link workers, allowing nurses to focus on clinical screening while link workers connect individuals to community support.

The Guernsey Chest and Heart clinic offers free cardiovascular risk screening every five years for individuals aged 25 to 75, including blood pressure and cholesterol checks for adults aged 25 to 70.

Caroline Ogier, Manager at Guernsey Chest and Heart LBG said: “We’re delighted to be the first charity referral partner for Bailiwick Social Prescribing. Many people want to make changes following their screening, but don’t always know what is available to them.

“Working with Bailiwick Social Prescribing means we can connect clients directly to the right support, helping them take practical steps towards better long-term health and wellbeing.”
