Officers decided to hold him in a cell until he was sober enough to speak with them.
Rogers is known to the police for concealing weapons and even swallowing jewellery while in police cells, so officers strip searched him first.
He was wearing a ring which he refused to take off when asked. Eventually, officers took to removing the ring by force at which point the defendant head butted one of them.

He was remanded in custody on 17 December for fear that he would commit further offences if released on bail.
Rogers has a number of previous convictions, most of which were committed whilst under the influence of alcohol.
Judge Gary Perry said he hoped the defendant’s short time in jail had taught him something and agreed to release him on bail for Christmas. Rogers will have to comply with bail conditions, including not drinking any alcohol and not leaving his home address between 20:00 and 08:00.
“I’m the judge that’s on duty over Christmas and I will remember you,” Judge Perry warned. “Please don’t have me called out over Christmas, but if you do you are going to custody.”
Rogers is due to return to court next month.
