The pair will board the Christmas Petit Train at 16:10 and will travel along the parade route down to the South Esplanade, towards the Albert Per and up Fountain Street.
All the family is invited to watch the parade, cheering on Father Christmas and his friends as they make their way up to Market Square for the switch on at 17:00.

This year, the St Peter Port Christmas lights are being supported by the States of Guernsey who have donated £17,000 from the island’s Capital Reserve. That money will go towards the replacement of old lights and has allowed the charity to extend the festive cheer to Trinity Square.
“We received an application from the St Peter Port Christmas Lights charity and they rightly pointed out the benefits the lights bring during the festive season, both in terms of helping to increase footfall in Town to support the retail and hospitality sectors, but also in improving the wellbeing of islanders by spreading some genuine Christmas cheer,” said President of Policy & Resources, Deputy Gavin St Pier.

The new sponsorship comes after the States agreed to spend up to £25,000 from the Capital Reserve on non-governmental projects that benefit the Bailiwick.
“We’re really pleased that this year we’ve been able to go one step further than simply maintaining and repairing the existing lights,” added Chair and Trustee of St Peter Port Christmas Lights, Jax Robin. “By extending them as far as Trinity Square, we can do our bit to encourage growth and support business in that end of Town. It will make the big switch on this weekend all the more special.”
