The Guernsey Isolation Support Grouphas been formed to get together a list of local volunteers who would be happy to help vulnerable people, as well as those currently confined to their homes, with daily errands such as shopping, dog walking and posting letters. It also gives those in need of help an opportunity to make themselves known to the group.

Meanwhile, #StayAtHome – which has also been set up in the wake of covid-19 – is acting as a “community hub and response” page for the virus. There are already thousands of members, who are using the platform to share support and advice with one another.
Positivity Guernsey has taken a slightly different approach, encouraging the community to support one another’s mental wellbeing, while the island goes through a difficult time. It aims to provide a space for Guernsey people to voice their concerns about the virus, but also promote positivity.
