The Crown Pier will host an array of local produce and live cooking demonstrations, “showcasing the rich abundance of fresh Guernsey seafood,” on Saturday, while Sunday will see local arts and craft stalls located along the pedestrianised seafront. All of the products featured have been produced and created by small Guernsey businesses.
The organisers of Taste Guernsey said the event “promotes these small island businesses and offers a platform for them to engage with locals as well as visitors to the island.”
Children’s entertainment will also be provided on both Saturday and Sunday with Taste Guernsey launching a brand new children’s water activity as well the Creation Station running activities on the Crown Pier.
As part of the festival, a number of events have already been held including a culinary skills cookery course run by Sueco, Guernsey Oyster Farms offered the opportunity to combine lunch with an oyster farm visit, and Hook hosted a special Seafood Tasting Menu.
