Donations in Guernsey will be split between Food for Families (which comprises Les Cotils, Bright Beginnings and Wigwam), Salvation Army, Guernsey Welfare Service and Age Concern.
The scheme will also run in Jersey with donations made to Shelter Trust, Age Concern, Causeway Association, Women’s Refuge, Jersey Association for Youth and Friendship, Salvation Army and Brighter Futures.

Carl Winn, Head of Community and Sustainability at the Co-op, encouraged shoppers to take part.
“We are calling for islanders to come together this Easter. Your small change can help to make a real difference to our community,” said Mr Winn.
“At the Co-op, we are all about giving back wherever possible and we hope that our vouchers can help to bring a little joy to those who need it most.”
Along with the vouchers, the Co-op has also launched a chick hunt with 32 chicks hidden in store. Places to play include on the Co-op website and online grocery store. Players must find the chicks and scan their QR codes to stand a chance of winning an Easter prize of Co-op vouchers: first prize is £100 of vouchers; second prize is £50 and third prize is £25.

The retailer is also organising a hot cross bun get-together to bring lonely people together over the holiday period with hot cross bun donations.
There are also in-store collection boxes, which have been converted into egg donation boxes. Customers can purchase an Easter egg in-store and donate it back. The Co-op will then hand the eggs to charities over Easter.
Further activities are also taking place, such as character visits, face painting and more.
