25 of those are students and 15 are teaching staff, with cases now linked to 11 educational settings – 10 of which have now been named following questions in yesterday’s media briefing.
Civil Contingencies Chairman Peter Ferbrache said it is “much more likely than not that schools will be closed again next week” in order to protect students and staff.

18 of the 45 positive cases on Tuesday and Wednesday were from an unknown community source, taking that total to 29.
States CEO Paul Whitfield said a “short, hard lockdown” remains the intention.
The key message remains that people should stay at home, with extra guidance to clarify what people should do if they have been in contact with a positive case or someone who might have been exposed to it.
