Chloe Freitas and a group said they paid £35 each to the business in February to secure a cocktail making class and private room for a hen party but hasn’t heard anything from the business despite repeated attempts to contact it.
The group said they attempted to recuperate the cash through the payment bank but hit a dead end.
She wants to raise awareness of the issue in case other people are unknowingly in similar situations. Others have also reported on social media similar problems after paying deposits for social events.
Express has attempted to contact the owner, but all avenues for contact have been removed by the organisation.
The vacant property, 2 Lefebvre Street, is now up for sale via Savills for £950,000, with the brochure noting it was used by “the current owner-occupiers until very recently”.

The commercial kitchen on the first floor was fitted in 2019 when Koi Koi first opened its doors.
Guernsey Police confirmed to Express last week that it hadn’t received any complaints relating to the situation.
Both businesses continue to present as permanently closed on Google.
