Deputy Gavin St Pier

He was up against Deputy Mark Helyar, who was proposed by the President of HSC, Deputy Al Brouard.

Deputy Tina Bury resigned from her position of Vice-President of the HSC in March.

At the time, she said:  

In pitching for the job Deputy St Pier said: 

“We should not be afraid to accept and articulate that the public service has serious cultural problems when it comes to complaint or criticism… It should not be accepted. 

“I have the time, energy and interest in this vacancy.” 

Deputy St Pier received 21 votes, while Deputy Helyar received 17 votes.
