The third inter-island service between Guernsey and Jersey has launched with DFDS entering the market using its Tarifa Jet vessel.
The first scheduled sailing from St Helier to St Peter Port arrived this morning. It was 25minutes early, docking at 10:25.
It sailed back to Jersey at 11:20.

The Tarifa Jet can carry almost 800 passengers and 175 vehicles, with the crossing between the two Channel Island ports taking 90minutes.
DFDS has yet to confirm how many passengers were on board the inaugural sailing, which followed successful berthing trials held last week (pictured top).
DFDS announced it would be trialling its inter island service last week – saying the Monday sailings would operate this summer before being assessed.
They will sail between 09:20 and 14:20 each week – with some of the DFDS scheduled Jersey-St Malo affected as a result.
DFDS said these services will supplement the inter-island offerings from other providers – with Brittany Ferries offering a weekly foot and vehicle passenger service on Wednesdays and Islands Unlimited offering daily foot passenger only sailings.
“We’re excited to be able to launch these eagerly anticipated sailings to Guernsey, providing connectivity for islanders,” said Chris Parker, Route Director for Jersey at DFDS.
“We have worked closely with businesses and the tourism industry on our provision of inter-island services, in addition to our Poole, Portsmouth and St Malo routes. Thank you to residents for their patience and we look forward to welcoming you onboard.”
