The work was initiated by the St Martins’ Douzaine, with input from the GDA, and work began in the winter to make the changes.

“All in all, a lot of work has been done to do up the kiosk and add this accessible platform,” said Vice-Chair of the GDA, David Rowlinson.

He continued: “By its nature the kiosk has traditionally been inaccessible for people with mobility issues. 

“By creating a disabled parking space and building a wheelchair accessible platform the café can now be used by far more people with mobility issues.”
