The Bright Tights Charity aims to “promote awareness of gynaecological cancers, raise funds for research and support those who have, or are recovering from the disease in Guernsey.”

Over the last few years, one of the group’s most prominent fundraising initiatives has been ‘Bright Tights Day’ where men and women pull on their brightest tights, leggings or socks to acknowledge the charity’s work.

The money raised today will go towards offering support in a number of ways including practical and financial support, providing information and funding research.

Some of the support offered can include help with domestic chores, gardening, cooking meals, dog walking, childcare and more.

A number of other fundraising initiatives are taking place today, including a raffle with a number of prizes which have been donated by local businesses.

A video has also been produced for Bright Tights Day 2018, by local musicians and dancers.
