Administrators were appointed just weeks ago to restructure the business after several years of poor performance and worse-than-expected festive sales last year.

FRP Advisory hoped to retain over half the stores worldwide, but many British units were slated for closure to shift the focus to online sales.

Staff also notified the public via Facebook yesterday. They announced a closing down sale and said they will continue trading throughout this weekend. They can only accept cash but they said there are a number of special offers to be had.

It’s unclear when the last day of trading will be for Guernsey’s Commercial Arcade branch.
