But that won’t be happening this year, as Farmer Graham Dorey begins a new chapter in his life.
“It’s something we’ve been thinking about for some time – wanting to downsize,” he said. “It’s a lot of work for a shot period of time and it’s quite difficult to keep up all the time.
“I’m getting older and a lot of the work I’m doing by myself with the weeding and looking after the crop. The time has come.
“We put it on Facebook this morning and we’re very pleased and overwhelmed by all the comments we’ve had.”
The team at Brooklands Farm came to their decision at the end of the last season and announced it today, with hundreds of people already showing their support and thanks via social media.

Mr Dorey is looking forward to a quiet retirement while continuing his passion for vintage tractors.
The team have thanked all the farm’s customers for their enthusiasm over the years.
