The initiative has been launched to understand how the community’s leisure needs could be properly served by its existing asset portfolio.

A consultation survey has now been launched to draw opinion from the public.

“The study is investigating future community and leisure facility needs and identifying potential partnership opportunities,” said PFC member, Ian Carter.

“Engagement also includes on and off island providers in the private, public and third sectors as well as members of the community. It will identify the opportunities for tourism as well as attracting and retaining young families to live and work in our beautiful Island.”

The consultation and study fall under the Island Plan and it’s expected that some recommendations “may” include consolidating current sites or creating new multi-purpose sites.
