The updated policy applies to every air route except for flights between Guernsey, Alderney, and Southampton. Aurigny say this is “to protect vulnerable patients travelling for off island medical treatment”.

The wearing of face-coverings on these routes will be continually monitored by the airline.

Passengers who wish to wear a mask are still welcome to do so, Aurigny add that they are “not discouraging the use of masks on board where it is a customer or crew member’s preference”.

Aurigny also note that “the only other exception may be… international flights where the country requires both passengers and crew to wear masks on flights arriving at the destination country”.

Passengers on these international flights will be contacted prior to travel in those circumstances.
