Pictured: Guernsey Police are investigating three separate metal thefts.
Firstly, a one tonne bag of copper was reported missing from Griffith’s Yard, on the North Side of the Bridge sometime between 24 January and 27 January.
Investigating Officers said they suspected a vehicle was involved with the theft, and that there was a “significant amount” of scrap copper in the bag.
Shortly after that, Guernsey Police put out a second appeal after electrical wiring and a copper earthing rod were taken from a property at L’islet.
The homeowner said they have been doing some renovation work and realised some wiring had been taken from behind a skip, and also copper earthing rod was dug up from their garden.
Anyone with any information regarding either of these crimes is asked to contact Guernsey Police’s Headquarters on 725111, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
