The Flying Christine III with a paramedic and emergency care assistant on board left St Peter Port harbour just after 13:50 and arrived in Herm less than fifteen minutes later.
The medical crew met the Herm First Aiders at Rosaire steps before assessing the patient and bringing him back to Guernsey. When they got back to St Peter Port harbour the patient was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department for further treatment, arriving at the PEH shortly before 15:00.
St John Ambulance Guernsey said it wanted to thank to volunteer boat crew who assisted the clinical staff from the emergency ambulance service with this incident, as well as the Herm First Aiders.
This was the second call for the Flying Christine in three days, during what had been a busy weekend for the emergency service.
On Saturday, the St John marine ambulance was sent to Herm for another medical case, which was one of 15 call outs St John dealt with in 24 hours.
On that occasion, a woman needed treatment for a medical condition and had to be brought to Guernsey to go to the PEH.
