Guernsey Airport has had its busiest summer since before Covid, with more than 75,000 people passing through the airport in both July and August.
Passenger numbers on the island’s sea routes are also up, with July figures 3% higher than the same month last year.
Overall, passenger numbers across the sea routes are 1% higher so far this year than in 2025, and 14% higher than in 2024.
July was Guernsey Airport’s busiest month, with monthly passenger numbers exceeding 75,000 for the first time since 2019.
That strong demand continued into August, when numbers again topped 75,000.
Guernsey Ports Managing Director Ross Coppolo said the growth was being seen across several areas of the business.
He said: “The most encouraging aspect is that we are seeing growth across multiple areas of our business following a real team effort behind the scenes.
“That demonstrates the continued appeal of Guernsey as a destination and underlines the importance of maintaining reliable connections for residents, visitors and businesses.
“Our focus remains on providing safe, efficient and dependable services while working with our partners to ensure the Bailiwick remains well connected throughout the year.”
The strong numbers extend beyond flights and scheduled sea services.
Guernsey’s marinas are also performing strongly in 2026, with visiting vessel and passenger numbers remaining close to the high levels recorded last year.
Around 7,800 private vessels brought about 20,000 visitors to the island in 2025.
Guernsey Ports expects the number of visiting leisure craft this year to be close to last year’s total, subject to weather conditions during the rest of the season.
Mr Coppolo said: “It is very encouraging to see continued growth across both Guernsey Airport and Guernsey Harbours.
“These figures reflect the efforts of our teams and partners to strengthen connectivity and improve the customer experience for residents and visitors alike and demonstrate the sustained demand for travel to and from the Bailiwick.”
