The service is looking to replace two of its older vehicles with new ones that meet the needs of a modern fire service, while also being appropriate for use in a small island.

The current vehicles are known as water tender ladder fire appliances, which specialise in carrying water to the source of a blaze.

Suppliers have been invited to complete tender forms, which must be submitted by 23 October.

The States of Guernsey will then consider all offers, before deciding which vehicles to buy.
