King Nun met St James’ Managing Director Jon Bisson while playing Liverpool Sound City this year where Jon’s daughter Maisie was playing as a third of the stratospherically talented local band Track Not Found.
In agreeing to come over to Guernsey and play at St James (Saturday 13 July) the band are hopefully part of a burgeoning live music scene in the island which sits mid-way between one-off appearances and festival line-ups.
Supported by known crowd pleasers The Recks as well as the aforementioned track not found plus Savage Sons and Case on the Base that’s a lot of music for £10 entry fee.
Doors open at 19:00 and this is an all ages event.
On quite the other end of the musical spectrum on Saturday is an event for lovers of all things house music set up by the V!be collective and taking place at The Track on Victoria Avenue.
An impressive amount of work and promotion has gone into organising these events by young people looking for something new in the island, the best way to find out more about them is on their Facebook page.
