Guernsey Trees For Life has launched its annual ‘Give a tree for Christmas’ campaign, which aims to help the environment and replenish the island’s tree stocks.
“A tree is a wonderful living present to give at Christmas time and we want to encourage as many people as possible on island to buy a tree as a gift this year,” explained Committee Member, Colin Dodd. “We have partnered again with Guernsey Gardens Ltd which is giving a generous discount on all trees purchased during this month.”
Customers can claim their discount at Guernsey Gardens Ltd by referencing the campaign.
“We are always keen to promote the planting of trees because they support wildlife and improve our environment,” said Luke Ferneyhough from the company. “It’s about ensuring that we have trees for future generations.”
Guernsey Trees for Life works across the Bailiwick to encourage the protection, preservation and planting of trees, particularly those native to the islands. It runs a series of initiatives each year which include planting trees and delivering programmes of education and advice.
