Before that, GO was based on the Bridge but it outgrew those premises as its up-cycling work grew in popularity.
By moving the short distance to the Northside site, the charity has been able to incorporate shops, sorting facilities and workshops along with an IT training centre and bicycle repair centre which opened just this year.

Now, GO’s Chairman has said they’ve found a new home for their staff and services and all will be revealed soon.
“Our landlord, JD Norman, has kept us appraised of their negotiations concerning the Quayside site that they have kindly allowed us to use and develop our services free of rent,” said Paul Meader.
“As a result, we have had time to secure in principle a long term base of our own and we will be announcing our exciting plans very shortly”

GO – Giving Opportunities – is a charity aimed at helping individuals find employment through training and support packages.
The charity offers training in a number of areas and also provides skills, confidence and experience.
The work is focused on individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues and conditions such as Autism. In recent years the services have been extended to include those with short-term mental health issues, ex-offenders and those who are educationally disadvantaged.
