The GSPCA has launched a new online system for booking pet boarding, but say as it’s currently in a trial phase, it’s only available for pet owners whose animals have previously boarded with the animal charity.

Customers can log in using the email address linked to their account and can get their login details by clicking “Forgotten password”.

During the trial, online bookings are limited to just over half of the total capacity. If the system shows “no room”, customers are advised to contact the GSPCA directly.

A fixed deposit of £18 per booking per day is required, and from today, (1 August), their new boarding rates have come into effect.

However, they’ve also lost 10 kennels, with the Big Build project impacting their capacity.

The GSPCA is also asking users of the new system to email them with what they’ve booked and when, to help ensure the system is working smoothly.

The Manager of the GSPCA, Steve Byrne, says he hopes the new system will offer some extra convenience: “We’re delighted to be trialling this new online booking system, which we hope will offer added convenience to our valued supporters.”

Mr Byrne continued: “With the ongoing Big Build project and reduced kennel capacity, anything that helps streamline our services while ensuring excellent care for animals is a big step forward. We encourage owners to try it out and share any feedback with our team.”
