Since then the vessel has completed over 1,300 missions, and been a vital lifeline for the community across the Bailiwick.

She has been instrumental in saving countless lives and there’s even been a birth on board.

To mark the special occasion, an event is being held at the Guernsey Yacht Club this evening, to celebrate the vessel’s milestone, and the dedication of the volunteer crew members.

The 30th anniversary of a boat can designed like the Flying Christine for use in any weathers for medical purposes, would usually be a sad occasion. 

They have an expected life span of 30 years, but a massive investment with a two-phase refit is due to extend its life for another 10 years.
