The Health and Social Care Arts + Health photographic competition was themed around Guernsey nature, with more than 238 photographs being submitted.

24 of those were chosen for display at the Castel Hospital – being placed in windows to the front of the site so the passing public could see them.

Now, the remainder of the images have been placed along each side of the main corridor at the PEH creating a walk through exhibition at the island’s hospital.

Lottie Barnes, Culture, Arts and Health Manager, is passionate about the health benefits art can bring.

She said there were so many wonderful images submitted that they had to find a way to display them all.

“It was extremely difficult to choose just 24 images to display in the windows of the Castel Hospital. I am, therefore, delighted that 52 images (one from each person who submitted photographs) are now available for the public to view.

“The project, which is based on nature, highlights the benefits of being in nature and viewing nature to support staff wellbeing.”
