Both The Ladies College and Blanchelande College are reporting a 100% A-Level pass rate this summer, with the Sixth Form Centre recording a 96.6% pass rate.

At The Ladies College, pupils achieved a 100% pass rate with 91% of all results being A*-C.

The school added that they had an “astounding” result with 41% of all grades A*-A.

“Fantastically, 100% of the students were accepted to a chosen university, with many others taking up exciting opportunities in the world of work,” the college said this morning.

“The College is particularly pleased to note that, unlike in England where reports suggest students are studying a narrowing range of subjects, students continue to thrive in a wide curriculum. They build not only a breadth of knowledge but also develop skills such as historical analysis, critical thinking and creativity, which are of growing importance in today’s complex environment.”

At Blanchelande, students and staff were celebrating a 100% A level pass rate for the fourth consecutive year since the college re-opened its Sixth Form in 2020.

The college said its sixth form is going from “strength to strength”, with student numbers doubling in the next academic year.

There are also new facilities opening next month and Blanchelande will offer a choice of 23 subjects taught in small seminar-style teaching classes for its next A-Level year groups.

Elizabeth College said its students have also “achieved a superb set of A-level results this year”.

14% of results were graded A*, more than a third were graded A*/A and 78% of all grades were A*/C grades.

“Amongst the many individual successes there are three students who achieved A* grades in all four of their A level subjects and 17 students attained three or more A*/A grades,” said the college.

At the Sixth Form Centre, students were receiving A-Level results, after IB grades were revealed last month.

Some students took a combination of the two programmes, and together they all achieved a 96.6% pass at grades A*- E or equivalent with the IB.

18% of all results were at A* or equivalent, and 63% were A*-C or equivalent.

Principal Kieran James said: “We’re really thrilled for them, and really delighted to see them going off onto university or work.”

Across each of the sixth form settings, many students were checking results against university, employment, or other training offers.

Elizabeth College said “many of this year’s students have secured places at leading UK universities including Oxford, Bath, Durham, Exeter and York.

“They will be studying a wide range of subjects including Archaeology and Anthropology, History, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Music, Natural Sciences and Primary Education. Two students will be attending flight school, and one student is heading to America on a sporting scholarship. A number have also accepted positions locally with top employers in finance and other sectors, while others are preparing for mind-expanding gap year adventures.”

Blanchelande College said its students are heading to the “next stage of either university, their chosen future career or planned gap year”.

Ladies’ College said “fantastically, 100% of the students were accepted to a chosen university, with many others taking up exciting opportunities in the world of work”.
