The annual Santa Fun Run, organised by Linda Garnham of the charity Aid Reaching Children, is being held this morning.

Starting from the Beach House at Pembroke, with entrants running into St Peter Port, towards the finish line at the Market Buildings.

This route is open to those aged 12 years and over, and entrants must sign in by 10:45 ready for a warm up before setting off at 11:30.

The route from Pembroke is towards Crossways, down Route Militaire to the Halfway, then along the front to the Weigbridge roundabout where marshals will guide runners around to the bottom of the Pollet for the final stretch up the High Street, through the Arcade and towards Market Square.

There is also a shorter route for younger entrants, starting at Bulwer Avenue. Any children taking part can run or walk themselves, or they can use their scooters or be pushed along in their buggies.
