In Alderney, he visited the lifeboat station, in his role as President of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, before he flew to Guernsey to visit St James.
Prince Edward was given a police escort from the airport, before he met the Leiutenant Governor and the Bailiff, along with the President of St James and other members of the committee for a tour of the Georgian Building.

The Royal has previously visited the site, as he opened the Dorey Centre in 2002, and he reopened the building itself in 1985.
Yesterday, he was shown an ongoing exhibition and met an orchestra which was playing a concert last night, all alongside attending for the bicentenary celebrations.
