A spokesperson for Law Enforcement confirmed this morning that the police investigation into the accident is ongoing while the man is treated at the English hospital.
The accident happened yesterday morning with the 999 call for help being made shortly before 07:30.
Guernsey Police said the collision, at Route des Laurens in Torteval, involved a lorry and a pedestrian.
The spokesperson confirmed the pedestrian had suffered “what are believed to have been serious injuries”. They were taken to hospital by St John Emergency Ambulance Service before later being flown to Southampton.
The road remained closed for a number of hours after the incident with specialist officers “conducting the initial stages of a collision investigation,” said the police spokesperson.
It’s been confirmed to Express this morning that no arrests have been made and that the investigation is ongoing.
