The memorial planting projects can be used by all families and parents to remember and build hope for the future.

The first project will get underway at Les Caches Farm – set close to the cliff path and National Trust land areas at Le Bigard and Le Gouffre.

“We are delighted to have found a unique area for our first memorial planting,” said Trustee of the Ivy Trust, Jayne White. “Les Caches Farm has a wonderful feeling of peace in a beautiful surrounding and one that families can enjoy and easily access.”

A combination of native trees and shrubs will be planted in the area and, thanks to a donation from Skipton International, the trust can gift one planting to any family that would like to remember a baby.

Families can plant as many trees and shrubs as they would like though, at a cost of £25 per extra plant.

Everyone is invited to see and enjoy the area on Sunday 15 September between 11:30 and 13:30. Families can register for a tree at that time and are welcome to bring a picnic.

Those interested in going can let the Ivy Trust know via its Facebook page or by emailing chloe@theivytrust.org.
