The next step for the Vive La Vallette team behind the ambitious project is to recruit a person with “verve and vim” as a supervisor for the new café.

“This is a unique opportunity to help shape a thriving year-round venue from scratch for the benefit of the community,” said Community Lead for Vive La Vallette, Helen Bonner-Morgan.

“We are hoping to attract someone who shares the long-term vision of the Vive La Vallette team and will help ensure that the new facilities become a thriving hub where all feel welcome and valued.”

Vive La Vallette was set up as a charity in 2019 with the intention of fully redeveloping the facilities at the bathing pools.

A new community space is set to open for Easter and the new supervisor will play an essential part in the project.

“We want someone to get involved who has a good amount of energy and experience,” said Ms Bonner-Morgan.

“We want them to join us to help develop the whole area into a thriving community asset.”

The bathing pools project has been funded by more than £1million of public donations and £300,000 from the States.

Donations are still welcome. You can find out more about how to get involved HERE.
