Story time sessions will be led by people who supported the community during the covid-19 pandemic and the island’s two lockdowns.
Ambulance drivers and teachers are just two of the professions taking part in the week-long programme, that will be held at the library, preschools, and nurseries.

“We’re thrilled that this half term children will have the chance to listen to stories from the key workers in our amazing community,” said Early Years Education Officer, Kate Hynes.
“Our key workers have played such an important role in the Guernsey Together spirit of the last year, and we wanted to highlight that and give children the chance to engage with them directly,” she said.
Students at the College of FE have supplied ‘Story Sacks’ for the programme, filled with props to make the stories more interactive.
“At the library we’re all about sharing the joy of stories and creating lifelong readers,” said Children & Young People’s Services Manager, Cornelia James.
“We’re delighted to continue our work with the States Early Years Team and our other partners on this initiative.”
