Connor Falla, 21, appeared before the Magistrate’s Court last week for sentencing, but that couldn’t go ahead he hadn’t attended a probation meeting.
The young man’s sentencing was delayed until 27 February, when he will face five charges alongside that of stealing the knives.
He also assaulted two police officers on 5 December, resisted arrest, knowingly looked after a stolen bike and behaved in a disorderly manner in public.

Police put out a call for information about the stolen knives on 4 December when they were reported missing. The four cases, which reportedly looked like business cases, were taken sometime between 16:30 on 3 December and 08:00 the next day. Falla was arrested on 5 December.
Defending Advocate Oliver Fattorini told Judge Philip Robey his client hadn’t attended his probation appointment because he was having trouble with his phone. Judge Robey asked if he was also having trouble with his legs, but decided to adjourn the sentencing to give Falla one last chance to go to the meeting before he was sentenced.
He was bailed until 27 February, with a condition to attend the probation meeting.
