The States’ Assembly & Constitution Committee’s questionnaire sets out and seeks feedback on a number of things that the States could do to assist voters and those who stand for Deputy.
“We are really pleased to receive such a positive response to our questionnaire,” said Sacc President Neil Inder. “We really want to hear how voters want us to provide them with information about candidates in the lead up to the election to help us decide our next steps. The questionnaire will close on 14 August so everyone who has not had the opportunity to respond yet still has time to do so.”
Some of the options for providing information include:
- The production of a ‘combined manifesto booklet’ that incorporates all of the candidate manifestos into one document
- The creation of video and audio shorts for candidates to broadcast their message
- Enabling the general public to submit questions to candidates online
The questionnaire is available online gov.gg/election2020consult and on request in paper copy from the Committee by calling 749526.
