He sat down with Express to discuss the ups, downs and hopes for the future.
“You’ve got to realise there are challenges,” he said.
“If we can make decisions, this is a fantastic place to live. It’s got great opportunities. It’s got it the people of Guernsey… they’re second to none in the world. They’re decent people.
“That’s what gives me hope for the future, but we’ve got to be resonant and make decisions.”
