Guernsey Police are aware of at least five separate instances where people have noticed their car has been entered over night.

Through that series of incidents, a number of items have also been stolen.

On 6 March, Police said they had taken three calls reporting vehicle’s being entered.

Since, witness appeals have been put out for more incidents of illegal entry, one between the 7 and 8 March and two between the 8 and 9 March. The first incident happened between 15:00 on the 7 and 09:00 on the 8 at Griffith’s Yard on the Bridge. A Bosch GPR sound box and a charger were taken from the car.

The next night, between 13:00 on the 8 and 07:00 on the 9, two separate vehicles were entered on Victoria Road in Town, and a number of small items including change and phone chargers were taken.

Police said they wanted anyone who might have seen what had happened to come forwards to help the investigations, but they also urged people to lock their cars at all times to prevent “opportunistic theft”.

If you saw what happened in any of the thefts, you can call the police station on 725111 or report what you saw anonymously on 0800 555 111.
