For the first of those, the Court heard that shortly before midnight on 11 August, Santos allowed a woman who did not hold a driving license or third-party insurance to drive his vehicle on Rohais and Rohais de Haut.
The vehicle was being driven “erratically” and a member of the public called police after seeing Santos and the woman switch over seats in the front of the vehicle.

Later that month, at around 02:00 on 29 August, a Police Officer saw Santos driving in Trinity Square. He was reportedly travelling slowly and, when turning right towards Victoria Road, drove straight onto the ‘island’ in the middle of the junction.
His car got stuck on the cobbles and Santos “used high revs” in order to try and free his vehicle, causing various pieces of bodywork to come off.
He was arrested and taken to the police station, where the lowest reading he produced was 61mcg per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.

Santos represented himself and simply said: “I regret it, it was a really bad thing to do.”
Judge Graeme McKerrell said Santos was a person of previous good character. However, he had committed two separate offences in the space of three weeks.
He issued Santos with a £700 fine and a 30-month disqualification for the drink drive offence. On top of that, Santos was fined £300 for the other charges.
