Guernsey Police is appealing for witnesses following the assault, which took place at around 12:45 on Saturday morning at Trinity Square.
As a result of the incident, a man was admitted to hospital with “severe facial injuries” that required reconstructive surgery.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time that may have any information. Investigators are also keen to speak with any businesses or residents that have CCTV covering the area around by the Pedvin Street zebra crossing.
