The Flying Christine III was requested by the Sark Surgery on Tuesday evening for a patient with a medical condition requiring transfer to Guernsey.
The paramedic-led medical team was met at Maseline Harbour by the doctor and the patient. The patient was assessed and monitored during the journey back to St Peter Port and then taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department of the PEH.
On Wednesday morning, the Flying Christine responded to a request from the Herm first aiders for a patient who needed further clinical assessment from Emergency Ambulance Service specialists.
The marine ambulance was later sent to Alderney following a request from the Alderney Doctor. The Flying Christine left St Peter Port on Wednesday evening and arrived back in Guernsey with the patient, who was transferred to a waiting road ambulance and onwards to the PEH.
The Flying Christine III is proved by the St John Ambulance Guernsey charity and crewed by volunteers from the local marine community and professional clinicians from the St John Emergency Ambulance Service. The marine ambulance relies on donations and charges to operate.
