She is one of 56 amateur chefs to have made it through to the televised stages from thousands of initial applications, and will be one of seven contestants taking part in tonight’s heat trying to impress hosts and judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

The top three chefs will make it through to the quarter finals.

While she remains tight-lipped as to how she got on, Ms Bailey said: “It was an incredible opportunity to participate in one of my favourite shows on TV. I am a huge MasterChef fan and I am delighted I was lucky enough to take part in MC2019.”
