Guernsey’s Catholic community will pay their respects to Pope Francis at a Memorial Mass planned for this coming Friday evening.
It will be held at St Joseph’s Church from 18:00.
The Church has said “all are welcome” to attend.
The leader of the Catholic Church died on Easter Monday after a period of ill health.
He had been admitted to hospital earlier this year with bronchitis which developed into pneumonia, before being released into the care of the Vatican staff.
He appeared on the balcony overlooking St Peter’s Square during Easter Sunday mass, less than a day before his death.
He gave a final address during that mass, before being taken through the crowd where he blessed members of the congregation.
